Dr. Andrea Blake-Garrett holds New Jersey Certification as a Teacher of Biological Sciences, Supervisor, Principal and School Administrator (CE). She has earned her Masters of Arts in Teaching and Masters of Arts in Administration and Supervision degrees, from Montclair State University and doctorate from Seton Hall University. Dr. Blake-Garrett's research interests include the affects of Urban School Reform on student performance, promoting effective science education in Urban School Districts, developing effective science teachers. She has worked as Urban science educator / administrator for the public schools in East Orange,Newark, and Jersey City. Serving in field of science education since for over 16 years, Dr. Blake-Garrett also serves as education consultant, providing professional development and curriculum development services. She is also a motivational speaker working with students, parents, and educators nationally. Recently, published author of an illustrated children's book series titled "The Adventures of Izzy & JuJu: Twin Detective Investigators (T.D.I.)"

Dr. Garrett’s Educational Solutions, LLC (D.G.E.S.) was founded in 2009 for the purpose of providing effective science education to all students nation-wide by working with teachers, administrators and school districts. The nation is still in need of qualified science educators, materials and resources. One size does not fit all D.G.E.S. will work collaboratively to provide personalized services.
